HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1962-005s V ULAGE OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 62-5 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 16th day of January, 1962. The following members were presents Mayor Keefe, Trustees Yngve, Kreatz and Curtis, and the following members vere absents None. Trustee Yngve introduced the following resolution and moved its adoptions "WHEREAS, the Village of Plymouth has heretofore made appli- cation to the Housing & Home Finance Agency of the United States Government for a preliminary loan to cover the costs of surveying and planning for a municipal water and sewage system, and WHFSEi M , the Village Council did on the 6th day of December, 1961, adopt a resolution which authorized and directed Orr-Schelen, Inc., consulting engineers for the Village, to prepare preliminary plana with respect to specific projects for sanitary sewer and water as set out In said resolution, and WHEREAS, said consulting engineers have submitted to the Council preliminary plans with respect to a definite plan project consisting of sanitary sewer trunk mains and water main trunks." NOW, MMFORE, BI IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH: 1. That the preliminary plans with respect to specific projects for the construction of sanitary sewer and water main trunks as sub- mitted by Orr-5chelen, Inc., consulting engineers to the Village, under date of,'January 16, 1902, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved and accepted. 2. That the plans as submitted and the method of financing out- lined therein are hereby deemed to be feasible and within the ability of the Village to finance. 3. That Mayor Thomas J. Keefe, who has been designated as the official representative of the Village to correspond and communicate with the Housing & Home Finance Agency of the United States Government be authorised and directed to further amend the Village's application for a loan from the Housing & Home Finance Agency so Llza.t said amended application conforms to the preliminary plans as herein approved. The motion to adopt said resolution was seconded by Trustee Kreatss, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofs Mayor Keefe, Trustees Yng e, Kreats: and Curtis, and the following voted against same mone. The property east of Vicksburg, shown in blue, receives the full trunk assessment. when the sewers are constructed, that property which is adjacent to the sewer will also receive an additional lateral benefit since this property is immediately served by sewer. These lateral benefits are estimated to be $6.00 per foot of assessable footage, based on the cost of lateral sewer in adjacent communities. k PROBABLE ASSESSMENT: A.
