OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of. the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 16th a --.y of starch, 1970. Tne following members were present: Councilmen Johnson, Hintz, F.indseth and Spaeth. Mayor,Hilde was absent. Cr-uncilman Hintz introduced the fallowing Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70--86 WHEREAS, the Village of Plymouth is bisected by United States Highway #55, and, WHEREAS, present traffic is causing access problems along U. S. Highway x`53, and WHEREAS, the Village of Plymouth will be experiencing aboat a fourfold growth in population in thr next"ten yeaia arta such growth { will surely put tremendous demands on the traffic carrying capacity of U. S. Highway #55, NOW' THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COU14CIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLY`tOUTH: That the Minnesota State Highway Department be requested to immediately begin planning for the upgrading of U. S. Highway `55 through the entire limits of the Village of Plymouth, so that right of way and construction requirements may be determined before all adjacent lands have been developed, and that the Minnesota State Highway Department be requested to take immediate steps to upgrade access to Lt. S. Highway P55 between Hennepin County Road #18 and Intarstate Highway #494. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Spaeth, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Councilmen Johnson, Hintz, Spaeth � and Kindseth. No one voted against. Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
