'The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hintz, Johnson, Kindseth and Spaeth. No one �Iwas absent. Councilman Kindseth introduced the following Resolution and moved } i fits adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70-10 f t NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE -VILLAGE COUNCIL OF :HE l VILLAGE OF.PLYMOUTH: TO ADOPT THE FOLLOWING STEPS FOR REORGANIZATION OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT AND APPOINT MR. FRED PERRY AS SUPER''ISOR OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1970. 1. Place the operation under Engineering Department per chart. { 2. Adopt retirement plan for e■ployses. 1 3. Appoint Supervisor of Public Works Department i� (a) Set his salary - Write position description - Performance Required', (b) Send notices to all members of department, retroactive to I January 1, 1970. 4. Delineate responsibilities of present employees. (a) For the present NO foremen or assistant foremen. i (b) Job,descrption for each employee grade - indicate some inter- changeability between sewer -water -streets. 1 (e) Set policies regarding maintenance of equipment and tools. (d) Policy regarding use of contractual help. (e) Have an active list from 6 to 8 men for on-call duty. Street crew at seven men for the present. 5. Job classification Street maintenance I it n II it III Sewer and water maintenance I n .r II n Ili � 1 ?as a , The motion for the adoption of the foregoing-Resolution was duly seconded by Mayor Hilda, and upon vote being taken thereon, the 11 following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hi lde, Councilman Hintz, Johnson, Kindseth and Spaeth.
