AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO LAWFUL
GAMBLING: AMENDING PI-YMOUTH CITY
CODE, SECTION 1215.05.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDAINS:
Section 1. Plymouth City Code, Section 1215.05 is
amended to read:
1215.05. Special Rule; Non -Profit Organizations: Gambling.
Subdivision 1. Raffles and Bingo. Notwithstanding the
provisions of Subsection 1215.01, a non-profit organization
licensed to conduct lawful gambling by the Charitable
Gambling Control Board may apply to the Council for permis-
sion to conduct one raffles or bingo occasions or both, not
exceeding five in number, in each calendar year at an
establishment licensed for the sale of alcoholic beverages.
Subd. 2. Investigation Fee. An organization conduct-
ing a raffles or bingos pursuant to this subsection must pay
to the City Finance Director an investigation fee of $250.
The Finance Director may refund to the organization any
amount of the fee not actually expended for the investiga-
tion.
Subd. 3. Non-renewable. The permission to coizduct a
raffles or bingo occasions under this subsection is for one
calendar year only. Subsequent applications for raffles or
bingo occasions must be accompanied by the investigation fee
and will be treated and processed as a new application.
Subd. 4. State Law. This subsection is enacted
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 349. The terms
"bingo," "bingo occasion," "raffle", "organization" and
"investigationfee" have the meanings given them by Chapter
349.
Sec. 2. This ordinance is effective in accordance with
Plymouth City Code, Subsection 110.11.
