AN ORDINANCE
RELATING TO BUILDING, HOUSING AND CONSTRUCTION
REGULATIONS: AMENDING PLYMOUTH CITY CODE,
SECTION 400 BY ADDING A SUBDIVISION;
AMENDING SUBSECTIONS 400.01 AND 400.03;
REPEALING SUBSECTION 400.01, SUBDIVISION 2.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDAINS:
Section 1. Plymouth City Code, Subsection 400.01, Subdivi-
sion 1, is amended to read:
400.01. State Building Code. Subdivision 1. Code Adop-
tion. The Building Code of the State of Minnesota, author-
ized by Minnesota Statutes, Section 16B.60
to 16B.73, and embodied in the Rules of the Commissioner of
Administration, is the Building Code of the City of
Plymouth, and is a part of this Code as completely as if
fully set forth herein. A copy of the State Building Code
shall be kept available for public use in the office of the
Chief Building Inspeetee Official.
Sec. 2. Plymouth City Code, Section 400, is amended by
adding a subdivision to read:
Subd. 2a. Procedures and Administration.
(a) As provided in the 1987 State Building Code the
following are hereSy adopted by reference:
(1) 1985 Edition of the Uniform Building Code, identi-
fied as "UBC."
(2) 1984 Edition of the National Electrical Code

(3) American National Safety Code for Elevators,
Dumbwaiters Escalators and Moving Walks identi
fied as ANSI A17.1-1984 and Supplement, ANSI
A17.la-1985.
(4) Minnesota Plumbing Code, identified in the Minne-
sota State Building Code as Chapter 1355.
(5) "Flood Proofing Regulations," June 1972 Office
of the Chief of Engineers, U.S. Army, identified
in the Minnesota State Building Code as Chapter
1335.
(6) One and Two Family Dwelling Code, 1975 Edition.

(b) The following Appendices, Standards and Supplemental
Materials are not a mandatory part of the State Code
but are adopted by reference for the City of P1 outh
and are incorporated into this Code as comp ete y as i

Sec. 3. Plymouth City rode, Subsection 400.03 is amended to
read:

Sec. 4. Plymouth City Code, Subsection 400.01, Subdivision
2, is repealed.
Sec. 5. This ordinance is effective upon its publication as
required by law.
