HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Ordinance 1985-13CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDINANCE NO. 85-13 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PORTIONS OF THE ORDINANCE NO. 80-9, ADOPTED J0,1E 16, 1980, AS AMENDED AND KNOWN AS THE PLYMOUTH ZONING ORDINANCE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDAINS: Section 1. Section 7, Subdivision F, is hereby amended by the addition of the following: Rooftop Equipment. All heating and cooling and other mechanical equipment mounted on the roof of new approved MULTIPLE DWELLINGS shall effectively buffer noise so that it is not transmitted beyond the boundaries of the property so to he perceptible in any residential zoning district. Such equipment shall be designed including exterior color and located so to be aesthetically harmonious and compatible with the building. Screening of the equipment may he required where the design, color, and location of the equipment are found to not effec- tively buffer noise or provide aesthetic harmony and compatibility. Screening shall be constructed of durable materials which are aesthetically compatible with the structure and which may be an integral part of the structure. Applicable re- quirements for access to the equipment shall be observed in the design and construction of the screening. Section 2. Section 8, Subdivsion G, is hereby amended by the addition of the following: Rooftop Equipment. Section 11, Subdivision A, 7., c. and f. are hereby amended by the addition of the following: C. Plans and specifications for fences, walls and other buffers as required herein, including proposed screening of rooftop equipment. f. Complete plans and specifications for exterior wall finishes proposed for all principal and accessory buildings. Elevation drawings shall show proposed rooftop equipment and any proposed screening. Section 4. Section 11, Subdi inion A., 11., b. is hereby amended by the addition of the following: b. The required work includes private exterior amenities such as landscaping, private driveways, parking areas, recreational facilities, drainage systems, curbing, fences and screening, and other similar facilities.
