HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Ordinance 1984-23ORDINANCE NO. 84-23 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO PUBLIC SAFETY BY AMENDING SUBSECTION 905.19 OF THE CITY CODE THE CITY COUNCIL OF PLYMOUTH DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subsection 905.19 of the Plymouth City Code is amended to read as follows: "905.19. Fires or Barbecues on Balconies or Patios. Subdivision 1. In any structure containing two or more vertically stacked residential units no person shall kindle, maintain or cause any fire or open flame on any balcony above ground level; or, on any ground floor patio immediately adjacent to or within 15 feet of any unit. Provided, however, that any such structure which contains two or more vertically stacked units and has ground floor patios and balconies that are constructed of noncombustible material on at least five of six sides, barbecues of the permitted type may be used. Barbecues of the permitted tvve nc in subdivision 3 herein. 2 Subdivision 2. Subdivision 3. Natural gas fired barbecue grills which are permanently mounted, plumbed to the building's natural gas supply and maintaining a minimum clearance of sixteen (16) inches on the sides and back of the grill may be installed on balconies and patios."
