ORDINANCE NO. 82-22
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO ELECTION: PROVIDING
FOR AN ABSENTEE BALLOT COUNTING BOARD. AMENDING
PLYMOUTH CITY CODE, SECTION 210 BY ADDING A SUBSECTION
The City of Plymouth Does Ordain:
Section 1. Plymouth City Code is amended by adding a Subsection to read:
210.01. Absentee Ballot Countina Board.
Subdivision 1. Board Established. As authorized by Minnesota Statute,
Section 203B.13, an absentee ballot counting board is established. The
board has those powers and duties, and shall be appointed in the manner
provided by law.
Subdivision 2. Lxdm1f1dti011 of Ballots. The absentee ballot counting
board is authorized to examine absentee ballot envelopes and receive or
reject absentee ballots in the manner provided by Minnesota Statute,
Section 203B.12.
SubdivIsioti 3. All Elections. The absentee ballot counting board shall
be appointed For each general and special election in the City.
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective upon its
passage and publication.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Plymouth this 23rd day of August,
1982.
