AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO PUBLIC SAFETY BY
AMENDING THE FIRE PREVENTION CODE TO ADD
SECTION 905.15 THERETO
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
Section 1. The Plymouth City Code is hereby amended by adding a new
Section to read:
905.15 Board of Appeals. In order to determine the suitability of
alternate materials and type of construction and to provide f,jr
j reasonable interpretations of the provisions of this Code, there
shall be and hereby is created a Board of Appeals. The City
Council shall serve as such Board of Appeals. The Public Safety
Director or his designee shall be an ex officio member of such
Board. The Board shall hear and determine all appeals From decisions
of the Public Safety director or his designee with respect to any
of the provisions of this Code and shall render all of its decisions
in writing to the Public Safety Director and to the appellant.
Section 2. Section 2.302 of the Uniform Fire Code, 1979 Edition,
heretofore adopted by reference is hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage and
i publication.
Adopted by the City Council this 8th day of September, 1981.
