ORDINANCE NO. 80-8
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO STREETS AND
TRAFFIC; ADDING SUBSECTION 1305.15 -
BICYCLE LANES AND WAYS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN:
Section 1. Section 1305 of the City Code relating to
Streets and Traffic is hereby amended by adding the following
hereto as Subsection 1305.15:
"1305.15. Bicycle Lanes and Ways.
Subdivision 1. Establishment. Pursuant to the
authority contained in Minnesota Statutes, Section
160.263, the marked and posted portions of the
following public streets and roadways are hereby
designated as bicycle lanes and ways:
Juneau Lane from 15th Ave. N. to County Road
#6
County Road #6 from Juneau Lane to Peony Lane
Peony Lane from County Road #6 to 17th Ave. N.
17th Ave. N. from Peony Lane to Shadyview Lane
Vicksburg Lane from County Road #15 to County Road
Ridge#mount Ave. from County Road #73 to Vine -
wood Lane
36th Ave. N. from Kilmer Lane to Zachary Lane
Subd. 2. Marking and Posting. Such bicycle lanes
and ways shall be clearly designated by painted lines
or such other .physical separation as the City may from
time to time specify and shall be posted with appropriate
signs and markings.
Subd. 3. Use of Sic cle Lanes and Wates. Such
bicycle lanes an ways shall for eexclusive use
of pedestrians, bicycles or other vehicles propelled
by human power and may not be used by motorized vehicles
except when said motorLzed vehicles are entering or
leaving a street or highway, are parking where parking
is permitted or are preparing for a turn as. provided
in Minnesota Statutes Section 169.19, Subdivision 1."
Section 2. This ordinance shah. take effect upon its
passage and publication.
