ORDINANCE NO. 80-5
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO PUBLIC UTILITIES;
AMENDING SUB -SECTION 705.09 BY ADDING
SUBDIVISION 4 THERETO

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDAINS:
Section 1. Plymouth City Code, Sub -Section 705.09 is hereby amended
by adding the following thereto as Subdivision 4:
"705.09. Certain Facilities Required - Owner's Duties.
. . . Subd. 4. Failure of Private Systems.
When a public sewer is available to a point within 100 feet
of a piece of property where a private individual sewage disposal system
has failed to function properly, such sewage system serving a structure
must be abandoned and the premises served shall be connected to the
public sanitary sewer system once the determination of failure has been
made by the Inspection Division and within fifteen (15) days from date
which notice of correction has been sent to the owner of the property
by the Inspection Division."
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and
publication.
Adopted by the City Council the 25th day of February, 1980.
