AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO STORM DRAINAGE:
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 79-17 ESTABLISHING
STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT TAX DISTRICT NO. 1
BASSETT CREEK WATERSHED
THE CITY COUNCIL OF PLYMOUTH ORDAINS:
Section 1. Authority. The City is authorized by Minnesota Statutes,
Sections 444.16 to 444.21 the "Act") to establish storm sewer improvement
tax districts for the purpose of constructing and financing storm sewers
and reiated facilities within such districts.
Suction 2. Findings. The City Council hereby finds and determines
that it is necessary and desirable for the proper control of storm drainage
and flooding in the City to use the authority contained in the Act to create
a storm sewer improvement tax district.
Section 3. District Created. Storm Sewer Improvement Tax District
No. 1, Bassett Creek Watershed the "District") as established by Ordinance
79-17 is amended. The amended boundaries of the district are as follows:
REVISIONS TO THE F/20/79 DESCRIPTION OF THE
BASSETT CREEK WATERSHED BOUNDARY
1. On page 2, omit lines 8 and 9 in their entirety and insert;
"to a point 35 feet south of the north line
of Lot 18, thence generally westerly along a
line 35 feet south of and parallel to the
north line of said Lot 18 extended, to the
centerline of Lakewood"
2. On page 3, omit line 26 through page 4, line 2, in their
entirety and insert;
"line to the centerline of Vicksburg Lane,
thence northerly along the centerline of
Vicksburg Lane which is also the west line
of Sec. 33, Sec. 28 and Sec."
3. On page 7, omit lines 15 through 17, in their entirety and
insert;
"intersection of a line bearing S45DEG E
from a point in the northeasterly line of
Lot 10, Meadowood a distance of 41.36 feet
southwesterly of the northerly corner
thereof and the centerline of Ranier Lane,
thence northwesterly along said line to the
northeasterly line of Lot 10 Meadowood,
thence northeasterly along said line and
the northeasterly line of Lot 9, Meadowood
to the north line thereof,"
4. On page 9, omit lines 5 and 6 in their entirety and insert;
"northerly to the centerline of 34th Avenue
north, thence westerly at a right angle with
said west line of Amber Woods"
5. On page 9, omit lines 10 through 12 in their ent4rety and
insert;
"south line to the southeast corner of the
SW 4 of said Sec. 18, thence northerly
along the east line thereof to"
6. On page 10, omit line 31 through page 11, line 5 in their
entirety and insert;
"thence southerly along said east line to
the south line of the NE n of the SW 4 of
said Sec. 9, thence easterly along said
line the southeast corner thereof, thence
northerly to the northwest corner of the
south 22.74 acres of the NW 4 of the SE 4 of
Sec. 9, thence easterly along"
7. On page 11, omit lines 28 through page 12, line 2 in their
entirety and insert;
"NW 4 of said Sec. 15, to the southeast
corner thereof, thence northerly along the
east line thereof to a point 552.56 feet
southerly from the northeast corner of the
NW 4 of the NE 4 of Sec. 15 thence easterly
along the south line"
8. On page 12, line 8 change;
"Tract E" to Tract r"
9. On page 12, omit line 11 through line 29 in their entirety
and insert;
"Thence northerly along said east line of
Sec. 10, 172.80 feet thence easterly along
the north line of Schmidt Lake West,
Sec. 11, T118N, R22W, to the southeasterly
line of Lot 6, thereof, thence"
10. On page 13, omit line 6 through line 31 in their entirety
and insert:
"south line of Schmidt Lake west, thence
easterly along said south line extended to
the centerline of Larch Lane thence south-
erly along the centerline of Larch Lane to
the south line of Sec. 11, Tll8N, R22W;"
11. On page 14, omit line 25 through page 15, line 3 in their
entirety and insert;
"the west line of the SE 4 of the SE h of
Sec. 14,"
12. On page 16, omit lines 1 through 3 in their entirety and
insert;
"centerline of Nathan Lane which is the east
line of Nathan Trails thence generally
northerly to the northeast corner of the
NE 4 of the SE a of Sec. 12, thence easterly
to the east line of said Sec. 12,"
Sec,,J on 4. Effective Date: Filing. This ordinance is effective
on the day of its publication in accordance with law. The City Clerk
shall file a certified copy of this ordinance with the County Recorder
of Hennepin County.
