ORDINANCE NO. 78-7
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER IV, SECTION 1 OF THE
CITY CODE MAKING THE PROVISIONS THEREOF APPLICABLE
TO CERTAIN PRIVATE STREETS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Amendment of City Code. Chapter IV, Section 1 of the
City Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"CHAPTER IV. TRAFFIC, PARKING AND WEIGHT REGULATION.
Section 1. TRAFFIC REGULATION.
1.01. The provisions of Chapters 169 and 171, Minnesota
Statutes, as hereinbefore enacted by the Legislature of the
State of Minnesota and as may hereafter be amended are hereby
readopted and reincorporated in and made a part of this Code
as completely as though said provisions were set out in such
Code in full. Such provisions shall apply throughout the City
upon public streets and highways and upon private streets
within the City freely used by members of the public.
1.02. Every person shall have his driver's license in
his immediate possession at all times when operating a motor
,,ehicle, and shall display the same upon the demand of a
peace officer, or by any officer authorized by law to enforce
the laws relating to the operation of motor vehicles op public
streets and highways and upon private streets within the City
freely used by members of the public. Licensee shall upon
the request of any such officer write his name in the presence
of such officer in order that the identity of the licensee may
be determined.
1.03. Any person whose driver's license or driving
privileges has been cancelled, suspended or revoked as provided
in Minnesota Statutes Chapter 171, as amended, and who shall
operate any motor vehicle, the operation of which requires .i
driver's license, upon the streets or highways in the City
while such license or privilege -s cancelled, suspended or
revoked shall be guilty of a misdemeanor."
Sectioh 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become
effective upon its passage and publication.
