Section 1. Chapter
V, Section 11.04(x) of the Plymouth City Code is
hereby amended
to read as follows:
"11.04(a)
All public parks and beaches within the limits of the
the City of Plymouth will close during such hours as
the Council may by Resolution from time to time determine.
Groups, associations or organizations wishing to meet in
a park or beach area past the time designated by the
Council must obtain a permit from the City Manager. F
The City Manager shall grant the application if the use
for which the permit is sought will not interfere with f
the health, safety, welfare and morals of the general
public and if the applicant meets all other conditions
as may be contained in the application form. The ap-
plication form may contain a requirement for an indemnity
bond holding the City harmless from liability of any kind
or character and which bond shall protect the City in case ;.
of property damage. The bond shall be filed with the
City Clerk."
Section 2.
Chapter V, Section 11.05 of the Plymouth City Code is
hereby amended
to read as follows: {
1111.05.
No person shall be in, remain in, or leave or park any
vehicle in any park, parkway, beach or drive during
such hours as the Couhcil may by Resolution from time to
time determine. This section shall not apply to those
who, without delay, are travelling upon the established
walks, paths, parkways and drives of the parks."
Section 3.
Chapter V'is hereby amended by adding a_ new Section 11.05(a)'
as follows:
"11.05(a)
The hoursofoperation of.the parks which are set forth
above shall be prominently posted in each park. The
Chief of police shall be responsible for insuring that
there are periodic checks of such parks to determine
that such signs are still displayed. The Chief shall `
cause.to be maintained a log for each park. Such log
shall show the name (if any) and location of the park
as well as the date and time of the check and the name
of the officer making the check and shall indicate
whether such :signs are displayed. In the event they
are not so displayed the Chief shall immediately notify
the Department of Public 'Works of that fact."
Section 4.
Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect from
and after its
passage and publication.
