HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Ordinance 1975-06CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDINANCE NO. 75-6 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER VIII, SECTIONS 8 AND 9 OF THE CITY CODE RELATING TO SANITARY SEWER AND WATER USER CHARGES THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Amendment of City Code. Section 8.02 of Chapter VIII of the City Code is hereby repealed and the following substituted therefor: "Section 8. RATES AND CHARGES FOR SANITARY SEWER SERVICE. 8.02. An annual charge is hereby imposed upon every person whose premises are served by the sanitary sewer system of the City of Plymouth, either directly or indirectly, for the use of the facilities of said sewer system and for connection therewith, which charge shall be as hereinafter provided in subsection 8.03 of this section. All charges for use of the City's sewer system shall be due on the dates specified by the Finance Department for the respective account, and shall be delinquent thirty (30) days thereafter. It shall be the duty of the Finance Department to endeavor to promptly collect delinquent accounts. All delinquent accounts shall be certified to the City Manager who shall prepare an assessment roll each year providing for assessment of the delinquent amounts against the respective properties served. This assessment roll shall be delivered to the City Council for adoption on or before October l of each year. Such action may be optional or subsequent to taking action to collect delinquent accounts. Section 2. Amendment of City Code. Section 9.14 of Chapter VIII of the City Code is hereby repealed and the follow- ing substituted therefor: j "Section 9. RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR WATER SERVICE. 4, 9.14. Delinquent Water Accounts. All charges for water shall be due on the dates specified by the Finance Department for the respective account, and shall be �--I_elinquent thirty (30) days thereafter.
