Ata ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4.16 OF CHAPTER III OF THE CITY
CODE RELATING TO HOURS FOR SALES OF INTOXICATING LIQUORS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH DOES HEREBY ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS: i..'
Section 1. Amendment of City Code. Section 4.16 of Chapter III
of the City Code is amended to read as follows: i.
"4.16. Hours for Sales of Intoxicating Liquor. No "on sale" :
intoxicating liquor shall be made after one o'clock A.M. on Sunday,
nor between the hours of one o'clock A.M. and eight o'clock P.M. '
on the day of any statewide election or between the hours of
one o'clock A.M. and eight o'clock A.M. of any week day. No
"off sale" shall be made before eight o'clock A.M. or after
eight o'clock P.M. of any day except Saturday, onwhich day "off
sales" may be made until ten o'clock P.M. No "off sale
shall be made on New Year's Day, January 1; Independence Day,
July 4; Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day, Decembe• 25; provided,
however, that on the evening preceding such days, it the sale,
is not otherwise prohibited, "off sales" may be made until ten
o'clock P.M., except that no "off sale" may be made on December
24th after eight o'clock P.M."
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect
upon its passage and publication.
Adopted by the City Council the 18th day of November, 1974.
