HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Ordinance 1974-23CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDINANCE NO. 74-23 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE TO PROVIDE FOR SUNDAY SALES OF INTOXICA"PING LIQUORS THE CITY COLN.C1L OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTII DOES IIEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Amendmont of City Code. Section 4 of Chapter III of the City Code is hereby amended by adding the following thereto as Section. 4.16.1: "4.16.1. Sunday Sales. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 4.16 hereof, establishments to which "on sale" licenses have been issued or hereafter may be issued for the sale of intoxicating liquors which are hotels or restaurants or clubs as defined by Section 340.07, Minnesota Statutes, and which have facilities for serving not less than 30 guests at one time, may serve intoxicating liquors between the hours of 12 o'clock noon and 12 o'clock midnight on Sundays in conjunction with the serving of food. Such sales are permitted subject to the following conditions: a) Before engaging in such Sunday sales, such establishments shall first obtain a special license therefor from the City of Plymouth. Applications for such special license shall be on forms Prescribed by the City Clerk which shall be the same as those for other licenses to sell intoxicating liquors. b) The special license shall be issued for a period of one year. c) The fee for such special license shall be $200.00 per annum. d) All the provisions of Section 4, Chapter III of the Citv Code shall be applicable to such special license except for the provisions of Section 4.16. e) Any special license issued hereunder may be revoked by the City Council for cause." Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication. Adopted by the City Council the 18th day of November , ' 1974. Mayor ATTEST: Clerk �i=
