ORDINANCE NO. 74-5
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER VIII, SECTIONS 8 and 9
OF THE CITY CODE RELATING TO
SANITARY SEWER AND WATER USER CHARGES
THE UITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH DOES HEREBi
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. Amendment of City Code. Section 8.03 of
Chapter VIII of the City Code is hereby repealed and the '
following substituted therefor:
"Section S. RATES AND CHARGES FOR SANITARY SEWER
SERVICE
8.03. Charges for sewer service within the City
{` shall be the following rates:
(a) Single family residence, duplex and town-
house units rate per year $52.80, penalty 10% of the
delinquent amount per quarter.
i' (b) Multiple dwellings (3 or more units except
townhouses) rate, per year $42.25 per unit,' penalty '
10% of the delinquent amount per quarter.
(c) Trailer courts and mobile home parks - $42.25
per unit per year, charged quarterly, on the basis of
the number of trailer homes in place in the park At the
commencement of each quarter, penalty 10% of the delin-
quent amount per -quarter.
(d) The sewer service charges for commercial,
Industrial, motel, hotel, institutional and all other
users not covered in subsection 8.03 (a), (b)and(c) {
shall, be upon a volumetric charge based upon water 1
consumption as follows
A sewer service charge of 52.8 for each 1,000
gallons, or part thereof, subject to a minimum i
charge of $4.40 per month, penalty 10% of the f
delinquent bill per, month. Tne user may establish
additional meters so that the water being dis-
charged into the sanitary sewer system will be i
metered separately from other water.

Section 2. Amendment of City Code. Section 9.12 of
Chapter VIII of the City Code is hereby repealed and the
following substituted therefor:
"Section 9. RULES AND REGULATICI:S FOR WATER SERVICE.
9.12 Water Rates.

Next 125,000 gallons per trilling period -

The rates above are subject to a minimum charge to each
water user for each period during which water service
is furnished as follows:

In case the meter 1s found to have stopped, or to be
operating in a faulty manner, the amount of water used
will be estimated in accordance with the amount used
previously. Where service is for less than a quarterly T
period, this charge will be pro -rated on a monthly

basis.
Section3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become I
effective upon its passage and publication.
