VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER VI, SECTION 3.05
OF THE VILLAGE CODE RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF
PLUMBING PE''RMITS AND PLUMBING PERMIT FEES

THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Amendment of Village Code. Section 3.05 of Chapter VI of
the Village Code is hereby amended by deleting the current language of Section
3.05 and substituting therefor the following language:
"CHAPTER VI. CONSTRUCTION CODE.
Section 3.05. Permits
(a) No person, firm, or corporation shall install, alter or extend
any individual plumbing or plumbing system in the municipality without
first obtaining a permit therefor from the Building Inspector for the
specific installation, alteration ,or extension. At the time of applying
} for said permit, the applicant shall pay a minimum fee therefor of $15.00
Each plumbing fixture in excess of ten (10) shall be subject to an addi-
tional $1.25 fee. Such permit.shall be valid for a period of six (6)
months from date of issue. Failure to obtain a permit prior to such
installation, alteration or extension shall cause the permit fee to be
doubled.
1 (b) There shall be a separate fee of $5.00 for the installa'-ion,
f alteration or extension of i water conditioning unit. Where only a
! water conditioning unit 1s sought to be installed, altered or extended,
only the permit fee of $5.00 shall be required and not the minitnun; fee
of $15.00 as.provided in subsection (a) hereof.
(c)' Application for permit shall be made in writing upon printed
blanks or forms furnished by the Building Inspector and shall be signed
by the applicant.
(d) Penalty. Any person, firm, group, association, corporation or,
any other orgbn ation;vioiating the provisions of this Ordinance shall,
upon conviction, be punished for each separate conviction by a fine not
to exceed $300.00 or by imprisonment for a period not to exceed 90 days.
Section 2. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its
passage and publication.
Adopted by the Village Council the 7th day of August, 1972.
