HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Ordinance 1972-04VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH ORDINANCE NO. 72-4 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8, SECTIONS 9.12 AND 9.13 OF THE VILLAGE CODE CHANGING THE CHARGES FOR WATER SERVICES WITHIN THE VILLAGE IN CERTAIN PARTICULARS THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH DO HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Amendment of Code. Chapter 8, Section 9.12 of the Village Code is amended by deleting Subsection (a) and substituting the following therefor: "...(a) The rate due and payable to the Village by each water user within the municipality for water taken from the Water Supply System shall be as follows: Rate Per Quarter: First 45,000 gallons per billing period - 60 cents per 1,000 gallons Next 30,000 gallons per billing period - S4 cents per 1,000 gallons Next 125,000 gallons per billing period - 48 cents per 1,000 gallons Over 200,000 gallons per billing period - 42 cents per 1,000 gallons The rates above are subject to a minimum charge to each water user for each period during which water service is furnished as follows; Meter Size Residential 3/4" Commercial $ Industrial 1" and 1 1/4" Commercial & Industrial 1 1,12 Commercial $ Industrial 2" Commercial $ Industrial 3" Commercial I, Industrial 4" Commercial $ Industrial 6" and over Minimum Charge/Month $3.60 7.20 8.40 9.60 10.80 12.00 14.40 18.00 In case the meter is found to have stopped, or to be operating in a faulty manner, the amount of water used will be estimated in accordance with the amount used previously. Where service is for less than a quarterly period, this charge will be pro -rated on a monthly basis. 1= Section 2. Amendment of Code. Chapter 8, Section 9.13 �g of the V.:linge Code is amended by deleting the section and s substituting the following therefor: E b 9.13 (Yater Availability Charge. A water availability charge at the rat- of $3.60 per quarter is due and payable by the owner of each lot or parcel of land which has had municipal water service available for a period of two and one-half (2 1/2) years or more if such lot or parcel is not connected to the municipal water system; provided, this charge is not due i.' there is no building or other structure on such lot or parcel. Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication. Adopted by the Village Council the 6th day of March, 1972. � - -tom Lmayor ATTEST:
