ORDINANCE NO. 70- 16
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER II OF THE
VILLAGE CODE RELATING TO THE DUTIES OF THE
VILLAGE CLERK AND DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH DO HEREBY
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Amendment of Code. Chapter II of the ViD.age Code
is hereby amended by adding the following thereto as Sections
11.01 and 11.02:
011.01. Village Clerk. The Village Manager shall appoint
village Clerk who shall serve pursuant to the
provisions of Section 412.151, Minnesota Statutes,
and shall be charged with the duty of maintaining
Village records, the issuance of licenses and
pe_rits, the handling of voters' registration and
election procedures, the assembling and keeping
of vital statistics relating to the Village,
shall be secretary to the Village Council and
shall perform such other duties as the Village
Manager may prescribe. Said Village Clerk
shall serve for an indefinite term.
11.02. Director of Finance - Treasurer. The Village
Manager shall appoint a Director of Finance -
Treasurer who shall be responsible for the
collection of Village revenues, accounting
procedures, purchasing of supplies and materials
necessary to the conduct of Village business,
shall be in charge of the assessing department
and special assessment procedures, shall prepare
audits as may be prescribed by the Village
Manager and shall perform such other duties as
are prescribed in Section 412.141, Minnesota
Statutes and as are directed by the Village
Manager.'
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect
upon its passage and publication.
Adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth
the 14th day of September, 1970. ! '
