ORDINANCE NO. 70-20
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE
RELATING TO LOCKS AND LATCHES BY AMENDING
SECTION 2 OF CHAPTER VI OF THE VILLAGE CODE
THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH DO HEREBY
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Amendment of Village Coda. Section 2 of
Chapter VI of the Village Code is hereby amended by adding
the fomwing thereto as Section 2.08:
". . . 2.08. Locks ired in Apartment Buildin s.
Section 3303(c) of the UnIform BuIlding Coe is amended
by adding the following thereto:
'All4partment buildings in the Village shall be
required to have dea3 locks on all doors providing
entrance into individual apartments from the
corridors or passageways. Apartment buildings
built and occupied as of the date of the enactment
of this section shall be required to have such
dead locks in place on or before January 1, 1971.'"
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take
effect upon passage and publication. P
