ORDINANCE NO. 69-8
AN ORDINANCE AMrNDING CHAPTER VIII, SECTION
5.05 (a) OF THE VILLAGE CODF RELATING TO
COMPULSORY CONNECTION TO MUNICIPAL SANITARY
SEWERS
THF VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THF, VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH HEREBY
ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Amendment of Village Code. Chapter VIII,
Section 5.05 (a) of the Village Ordinance Code is hereby amended
by deleting said Section 5.05 (a) and substituting the following
therefor:
"5,05. Certain Facilities Requir-d - Owner's Duties. .
(a) The owner of all houses, buildings or
property used for human occupancy, employment,
recreation or other purposes situated within
the village and abutting any street, alley
or right of way in which there is noW located
or may in the future be located a public
sanitary sewer or combined sewer of the village,
is hereby required at his expense to install
suitable toilet facilities therein. In the
event a cesspool or septic tank requires modi-
fication or repair and in the further event that
a public sanitary sewer is located within 100 feet
of the property line, the owner of such property
shall be required to connect to the public sewer.
Provided however that the owners of all houses,
buildings or properties used for human occupancy,
employment, recreation or other purposes
situated within the village and abutting any
street, alley or right of way in which there was
located on September 1, 1968 a public sanitary
sewer or combined sewer of this village, is here-
by required at his expense to connect such
houses, buildings or properties to such public
sanitary sewer or combined sewer on oribefore
8eptembbr 30, 1970. Connectionsto public sanitary -
sewer facilities installed subsequent to September l
1968 will be required within 30 months from and
after the 1st day of January next following the
date on which the assessment for such sanitary
sewer facilities to the particular property is
adopted by the Village Council."
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become
