HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Amendment of Building Code and Ordinance Code.
1.01 Section 3.01(b) of the Building Code of the
Village of Plymouth is hereby amended by adding
the following thereto as 3.01(b) 4A.:

4A. Provide exterior elevations of the
proposed structure which will
adequately and accurately indicate
the heig'at, size, design and the
appearance of all elevations of the
proposed building facing a public
street, and a description of the
construction and materials proposed to
be used therein."
1.02 Section 3.02 of the Building Code of the Village of
Plymouth is hereby amended by adding the following
thereto as
3.02(f):

The Village Council hereby declares that
a substantial depreciation of values
in the neighborhood where constructed and
in the Village at large occurs upon the
conszructon, moving, alteration of, or
repairs to structures described in this
section. The Building Inspector, therefore,
shall not issue a building permit for
any structure for which a building permit
is required if the proposed structure
shall have a front or side abutting a
public street which contains exterior
facing materials which are not of a
permanent nature or have a tendency to
deteriorate rapidly, or which for any
reason are or quickly become unsightly in
appearance. The following are examples
of such materials:
This ordinance shall become effective upon its passage and
publication.
Adopted by the Village Council the 4th day of December
1967.

(1) Concrete masonry units
(2) Common clay brick
(3) Sand lime brick
(4) Concrete brick
(5) Unfinished structural clay tile
(6) Sheet metal, either corrugated or
(7) Exposed unfinished concrete
Such materials, however, may be used in a
special arrangement or combination with
otb.er materials of a permanent nature with
good architectural design and appeal if
in compliance with this section.
Any approved use of the above materials
shall be so indicated on the building
elevations, shall be filed with the appli-
cation for the building permit and shall
become a part of such building permit.
Upon refusal of the use of any of the above
materials by the Building Inspector, the
applicant may appeal such refusal to the
Village Council."
1.03 This ordinance shall be incorporated into the
Ordinance Code as Section 2.05 of Chapter VI thereof.
Section 2. Effective Date.
This ordinance shall become effective upon its passage and
publication.
Adopted by the Village Council the 4th day of December
1967.
