Section 1. DeffiWidens. rue tol-
lowing definitions shall apply in
the interpretation and enforce-
ment of this Ordinance:
1.01—"Person" shall mean any
person, firm, partnership, associ-
ation, corporation, company or
organization of any kind.
1.02—"Junk Car" means any
vehicle which is not in operable
condition, or which is partially
dismantled, or which is used for
the sale of parts or as a source
of repair or replacement parts
for other vehicles, or which is
kept for scrapping, dismantling,
or salvage of any kind, or which
is not properly Incensed for op-
eration within the State of Mm-
nesota or by the State of Mm-
nesota.
LfM3-"Vehicle" shall mean a
machine propelled by power oth-
er than human power, designed
to travel along the ground by use
of wheels, treads, runners or
'slides, and transport persons or
property, or pull machinery, and
shall include, without limitation,
automobiles, trucks, trailers, mo-
torcycles and tractors.
1.U—"Street" or "Highway"
shall mean the entire width .be-
tween the boundary lines of ev-
ery way publicly maintained
when any part thereof is open to
the use cf the public for purposes
of vehicular travel.
1.05 ---"Property" shall mean
any real property within tate vil-
lage which is not a sheet or
highway.
Section 2. Parking or Abendon-
meat of Junk Can Prohibited.
2.01—No person shall park,
keep, place, store or abandon any
junk car or vehic'? on a public
street, highway, roadway or al-
ley within the village.
2.02—No person in charge or
control of any property within
'the village, whether as owner,
tenant, occupant, lessee or other-
wise, shall allow any junk car,
as defined herein, to remain on
such property longer than 96
hours and no person shall leave
a junk car on any property with-
in the village for a longer period
'than V6 hours.
2.03—This Ordinance shall not
apply to the following:
a) To a vehicle iii an eneW,,ed
building.
b) To a vehicle on the prem-
ises of a business enterprise
operated in a lawful place
and manner, when neces-
sary to the operation of
such business enterprise.
c) To a vehicle in an appropri-
ate storage place or deposi-
tory maintained in a lawful
phre and manner by the
village or its agents.
Section 3. Impousdipo of Jack
Gala.
3.01 --The Chief of Police or
any member of his department
designated by him is hereby au-
thorized to remove or have re-
moved any vehicle left at any
place within the village which
reasonably appears to be jn viola-
tion of this Ordinance or is lost,
stolen or unclaimed.
3A2—The impounding of such
vehicle shall be in accordance
with the provisions of Ordinance
No. 60-5 adopted by the village
council on May 3, 1960,
Section 4. P.nally.
4.01—Any person violating the
provisions of this Ordinance shall
be guilty of a misdemeanor and
upon conviction shall be ptinished
by a fine of not more than $100.00
or by imprisonment for not to
exceed '90 days.
Section 5. Elva Data.
5.01—This Ordinance shall take
effect upon its passage and pub-
lication.

AN OrIDINANCE PROHIBITING ABANDONMENT OR PARKING
OF JUNK CARS AND OTHER VEHICLES
THE 'VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH Do TIEREDY
OPMAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Definitions. The following definitions shall
►apply -in th interpretation and enforcement
of this Ordinance:
1.01 "Person" shall mean any person, firm, partnership,
assoc ation, corporation, company or organization
of any kind.
..0t "Juan Car" means any vehicle which is not in operable
condition, or which is partially dismantled, or which
is used for the sale of parts or as a source of re-
pair or replacement parts for other vehicles, or
which is kept for scrapping, dismantling, or selvage
of any bind, or which is not properly licensed for
operation within the State of Minnesota or by the
State of Minnesota.
1.43 "Vehicle"' shall mean a machine ,propelled by power
other than human power, designed to travel along the
ground by use of wasols, treads, runners or slides,
and transport persons or property or pull aachiner;;r,
and sholl include, without limitation, automobiles,
trues, ;trailers, motorcycles and tractors.
1.04 "Street" or "Highway" shall mean t1w entire width
between the boundary lines of every gray publicly
mAi.ntained when any part thereof is open to the usi
of the public for purposes of vehicular travel.
1.03 "Property" shall mean any real propert7 within thv
village which is not a street or highway.
Section 2. Parking or Abandonment of Junk Cars Prohibiters.
2.01 No person shall park, keep, place, store or abandon
any junk car or vehicle on a public street,hi.ghway,
roadway or alley within the village,.

the village, whether as owner, te.xant, occupant,
lessee or otherwise, shall allow any junk car, as
defined herein, to remain on such property longer
than 96 hours and no person shall leave a junk car
on any prflperty within the village for a longer
period that 9c nours.
2.03 This Ordinance shall not apply to the following:
a) To a vehicle in an enclosed building.
b) To a vehicle on the premises of a business
enterprise operated in a lawful place and
manner, when necessary to the operation of
such business enterprise.
c) To a vehicle in an appropriate storage place
or depository maintained in a lawful place
and manner by the village or its agents.
Section 3. Impounding of Junk Cars.
3.01 The Chief of police or any member of his department
designated by his is hereby authorised to remove or
ha -s removed any vehicle left at any place within
the village wh4ah reasonably appears to be in violation
of this Ordi:ance or is lout, stolen or unclaimed.
3.08 The impounding of such vehicle shall be in accordance
with the provisions of Ordinance No. 60-5 adopted
by the village council on My 3, 1980
Section S. penalty.
4.01 Any person violating the provisions of this Ordinance
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction
shall be psalshed by a fine of not more than $100.00

by imprisonment for not to exceed 90 days.
Section 5. Eff2:.tive mate.
5.01 This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage
and publication.
