VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH
An Ordinance Providing for Tem-
porary Sewage Disposal Sys -
terns in Areas Where Municipal
Sanitary Sewers Are Contracted
for But Not Yet Installed
The Village Council of the Vil-
lage of Plymouth Do Hereby Or-
dain As Follows:
Section 1. Purpose
1.01—This Ordinance has as its
purpose the granting of relief to
property owners in those areas of
the Village where contracts have
been awarded for the installation
of a municipal sanitary sewer
system but where installation of
such a system has not been com-
pleted. In such areas, the con-
struction of sanitary sewer sys-
tems may be permitted in ac-
cordance with the provisions of
this Ordinance and the provisions
of Ordinance 65-7 shall not be
applicable except as provided
herein.
Section 2. Construction Re-
quirements
2.01 ---With respect to the con-
struction of sanitary sewer sys-
tems in areas of the Village
where contracts have been award.
for the installation of a municipal
sanitary sewer system but where
such installation has not been
completed, the following requ! ..
ments shall apply:
a) A 1200 gallon cesspool
shall be installed.
b) Such cesspool shall be im-
bedded on 12 inches of %" min-
imum rock and shall be back-
filled around with rock.
c) Such cesspool shall be lo-
cated not less than 4 feet above
the static water table.
2.02—The building inspector
may require the use of two cess-
pools with a combined capacity
of 1200 g illons, if, in his judg-
ment the water ts')le is abnor-
mally high.
2.03—Ail d44tance and piping

65-7 shat, be strictly complied
with.
Section 3. Pumping of Cesspool
3.01—A cesspool installed in
accordance with the provisions of
Section 2 herein shall be pumped
as frequently as may be neces-
sary to prevent the overflow of
such sewage disposal system.
3.02—It shall be the responsi-
bility of the occupant of the
Premises to pump the cesspool as
required in 3.01 above.
Section 4. Connection to Nun-
icipal System
4.01—Any sewage disposal sys-
tem constructed pursuant to the
provisions of this Ordinance shall
i.e abandoned and the premises
served shall be connected to the
municipal sanitary sewer system-
within
ystemwithin thirty (30) days from and
after the date notice of the avail-
ability of such system is given to
the occupant of said premises.
4 02—As soon as the municipal
sanitary sewer system is available
for use, the Building Inspector
shall send notice of such fact by
registered mail, return receipt re-
quested, to the owner or occupant
of each property se: ved by a sew-
aee system permitted by this Or-
dinance. Receipt of such notice
by any person residing in the
premises, temporarily or perma-
nently, shall be deemed to be
effective notice of the availability
of the said municipal system.
Section 5. Permit and Bond
5.01—The permit provisions of
Section 3, Ordinance No. 65-7
shall be applicable to all work
done under this Ordinance.
5.02—At the time of the appli-
cation for such permit, the con-
tractor or home builder shall post
a bond with the Village in the
sum of $500.00 to secure to the
Village compliance with the pio-
visions of this Ordinance. Follow-
ing satisfactory installation of the
sewage disposal system in accord-
ance with the provisions of Sec-
tion 2 herein. and following con-
ncction with municipal sanitary
sewer system, such bond may be
released and discharged; provid-
ed, however, that as a further
condition of such release and dis-
charge, the contractor or home
builder must provide a written
acknowledgment signed by the
owner or occupant of the prem-
ises that such owner or occupant
has been advised of the provi-
sions of this Ordinance relating
to the requirements for pumping
the cesspool set out in Section 3
herein and relating to the re-
quirements for connection to the
municipal system as set out in
Section 4 herein.
Section 6. Penalties and Effec-
tive Date
6.01—A violation of any of the
provisions of this Ordinance shall
be deemed to be a misdemeanor
punishable by a fine not to ex-
ceed $100.00 or imprisonment for
a period not to exceed 90 days.
6.02—This Ordinance shall be
effective upon its passage and
publication.

CIS IN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Purpose
1.01 - This ordinance has as its purpose the granting of
relief to property ownera in those areas of the
Village where contracts have been awarded for the
Installation of a municipal sanitary sewer system
but where installation of such a system has not
been completed. In such areas, the construction of
sanitary sewer systems may be permitted in according:
with tho provisions of this Ordinance and the provisions
of Ordinance 65-7 shall not be applicable "cept as
provided bererin.
Section 2. Construction Requirements
2.01 - With respect to the coinstruction of sanitary sewer
syatens in areas of the Till -Ago wbere contracts
have been awarded for the installatloa of a municipal
sanitary sever system but where such installation has
not been crompletod, the following requirements shall
apply:
a) A 1200 gallon oesspool shall be installed.
b) Such cesspool shall be imbedded on 12 inches
of 3/4" minimum rock and shall be basckfilled
around with rock.
c) Such cesspool shall be located not less than
4 fleet above the static water table.
2.02 - The building inspector may require the use of two
cesspools with a combined capacity of 1240 gallons,
if, in his judgment the water table is abnormally high.
2.03 - All distance and piping requirements of Ordinance No.
03--7 small be strictly complied with.
Sections 3. pa riag of Cesseml
3.01 - A cesspool installed in accordance with the provisions
of Section 2 herein shall be pumped as frequently as
may be necessary to prevent the overflow of such
sewage disposal system.
3.02 - It shall be the responsibility of the occupant of the
promisees to pump the cesspool as required in 3.01
above.
Section 4. Connection to Muuieipal System
4.01 - Any sewage disposal system constructed pursuant
to the provisinns of this Ordinence shall be
abeadoned and the premises served shall be
oannected to the municipal sanitary sewer system
within thirty (30) days from and after the date
notice of the availability of such system is given
to the occupant of amid premises.
4.02 - As soon as the municipal sanitary sewer system is
available for use, the Building Inspector shall
send notice of such fact by registered mail, return
receipt requested, to the owner or occupant of each
property served by a sewage system permitted by this
Ordinance. Receipt of such notice by any person
residing in the premises, temporarily or permanently,
shall be deemed to be effective notice of the avail-
ability of the said municipal system.
Section 5. Permit and Bond
5.01 - The permit previsions of Section 3, Ordinance No.
65-7 shall be applicable to all :cork done under this
Ordinance.
5.02 - At the time of the application for such permit,
the contractor or home builder shall pass a bond with
the Village in the sum of $500.00 to secure to the
Village compliance wiith the provisions o: this Ordinance.
Following satisfactory installation of the sewage
disposal system in accordance with the provisions of
Section 2 herein, and following connection with municipal
sanitary seiner system, such bond say be released and
discharged; provided, however, that as a further Con-
dition of such release and discharge, the contractor
or home builder met provide a written acknowleigsent
signed by the owner or occupant of the presiset> ',at
such osne�, or occupant has been advised of the vi-
sions of this Ordinance relating to the requi: its
for pumping the cesspool set out in Section 3 herein
and relating to the requirements for connection to the
municipal system as not out in Section 4 herein.
Section 6. Penalties and Effective Date
6.01 - A via}ration of any of the provisions of this Ordinance

6.02 - This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage
