HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Ordinance 1965-14VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH Ordinance Na 65.14 An Ordinance Regulating the Dumping of Refuse within the Village of Plymouth and Amending Ordinance No. 60-7 The Village Council of the Village of Plymouth Do Hereby Ordain As Follows: Section 1. Amendment of Ordi- nance No. 60-7. Ordinance No. 60-7 of the Vil- lage of Plymouth, Minnesota, adopted on the 14th day of June, 1960, as amended is hereby fur- ther amended by adding the fol- lowing to Section 1 thereof: "1.04 No person shall cause or permit any garbage, tin cans, pa- per, ashes, junk or other trash or refuse of any kind to be dumped, thrown, scattered, de- posited, or accumulated upon any land within the corporation limits of the Village in such a manner that such materials are visible from any street or roadway. 1.05 The dumping of materials for the purposes of land fill shall not be a violation of this ordi- nance provided that the person engaged in such land Ali opera- tion shall have first secured a permit therefor from the Village Clerk, which permit shall be is- sued for r period of time not to exceed one year, and provided further that the dumping of garbage, combustible materials, sheet rock, wire lath, elEctrical conduit or plumbing fixtures shall not be permitted as a part of such land fill operation. 1.06 Any area within the Vil- lage which has been licensed as a public dump by the Village shall not be subject to the pro- visions of Sections 1.04 and 1.05 above." Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective upon its passage and publication. Adopted by the Village Council this 12th day of July, 1965. Loring M. Staples, Jr., Mayor.
