HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Ordinance 1963-10Ordinance No. 63-10 VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH An Ordinance Regulating the Parking and Stopping of Vehi- cles within the Village of Plymouth and Prodding for the Regulation of the Direction of Traffic Upon Streets Within the Village of Plymouth The Village Council of the Vil- lage of Plymnuth Do Hereby Or- dain as follows: Section 1. Parking Regulations. 1.01 Section 169.34 of Minne- sota Statutes and all subdivisions thereof is hereby adopted reg- ulating the use of high.vays, streets and alleys within the Vil- lage of Plymouth and is hereby incorporated in and made part of this ordinance as completely as if set out here in full. 1.02 The Village Council may from time to time, by the adop- tion of appropriate resolutions, limit and prohibit parking on particular streets within the V11- lage of Plymouth. 1.08 Upon the adoption by the Village Council limiting or pro- hibiting parking on any street in the Village of Plymouth appro- priate signs and markings shall be placed upon the street with respect to which parking has been limited or prohibited and the prohibition against parking on any such street shall not be- come effective until such signs or markings have been posted. Section 2. Direction of Traffic. 2.01 The Village Council may, by appropriate resolutions, de- signate any street or streets within the Village of Plymouth, as a "one way street", appropri- ate signs and markings shall be placed upon the street or streets designating such as a "one way street." The street or streets de- signated as a "one way street" shall not become so until such signs or markings have been posted. Section 3. Repeal of Ordinance. 3.01 Provisions of Ordinance 55-2 of she Village of Plymouth adopted by the Village Council July 5, 1955, relating to the park- ing of vehicles are hereby re- pealed. Section 4. Effective Date. 4.01 This ordinance shall be- come effective upon its passage and publication. Adopted by the Village Coun- cil July 8th, 1963, Thos. J. Keefe, Mayor Attest: H. T.
