HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2013-248CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 2013-248 A RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS FOR THE DUNKIRK LANE STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT NO. 13015 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the constriction of Dunkirk Lane from 54th Avenue to 59t1' Avenue, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: COMPANY TOTAL BID C.S. McCrossan Constriction, Inc. $1,432,978.70 Northwest Asphalt, Inc. $1,506,556.18 WHEREAS, it appears that C.S. McCrossan of Maple Grove, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications; and WHEREAS, fiinding for this project is dependent on special assessments; and WHEREAS, all bids are significantly higher than estimated and the City Engineer recommends rejecting all bids. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. All bids received are hereby rejected. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids. Approved this 13th day of August, 2013.
