Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on 19th day of
December 19 88 . The following members were
present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker and Zitur
The following members were absent: Councilmember Sisk
Councilmember Ricker introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption.
RESOLUTION NO. 88- 903
SELECTING THREE ARCHITECTURAL FIRMS FOR DESIGN COMPETITION
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth wishes to contract with three firms for the
purposes of a design competition for the proposed Plymouth community center,
and
WHEREAS, the special architectural selection committee received proposals from
nine different companies, and
WHEREAS, the architectural selection committee has interviewed six companies,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the City Manager is authorized to enter. into a
contract agreement with the following three firms
:BWBR/Barker Rinker Seacat
:Daniel Tully
:Hastings 6 Chivetta/Ellerbe Beckett,
and further, the contract shall stipulate that two firms shall receive a
$10,000 prize for their work and one firm shall receive a $15,000 grand prize,
and further, that this expense shall be charged against the park dedication
account 218-218.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Mayos �S her, ider , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Ricker and Zitur 1
The following voted against or abstained:
