HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1988-859CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a __ rgg„lar meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the Srh day of nPrpmhar , 1988. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou , and Sisk The following members were absent: Coun-ilme he s Riker and Zitur CnimrilmPmher Sisk — introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 88-859 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TRACTOR-BACKHOE/LOADER WHEREAS, the Ci,.y Council has authorized the receipt of bids for the purchase of a tractor-backhoe/loader for the City of Plymouth; and WHEREAS, said equipment is required to adequat•!ly provide City services; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the State Statute, bid specifications were prepared and distributed and bid proposals received and opened on November 9, 1988; and WHEREAS, the following bids were received: Ziegler, Inc. $ 44,984.00 Case Power 6 Equipment 44,111.00 Carlson's Lake State Equipment Co. 39,500.00 Carlson's Lake State Equipment Co. 46,800.00 Long Lake Ford Tractor 33,464.00 WHEREAS, the bid of Ziegler, Inc. is the anly bid in conformance with the City's specifications for this equipment and it is recommended that it be accepted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The bid of Ziegler, Inc. is declared the lowest responsible bidder. 2. That the City hereby accepts the bid in the amount of $44,984.00 for this purchase and funds are authorized from the 1988 Central Equipment Budget (602-602-921). The motion for the adoption of the foregoing kesolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None , ' Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
