HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1988-820CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 21st day of November , 1988. The following members were present: _ Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou Ricker- 7.ir„r and sick , The following members were absent: None Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 88- 820 RECEIVING PETITION AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PRELIMINARY REPORT HARBOR LANE - ADJACENT TO HARBOR PLACE ADDITION - STREET IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT NO. 912 WHEREAS, the developer of Harbor Place Addition has petitioned the City to make improvements to Harbor Lane from 4th Ave. N. to 7th Ave. N. by the installation of a 7 ton bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter, drainage facilities and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 88-505 was adopted on August 22, 1988 requiring the City to order a public improvement hearing to improve the portion of Harbor Lane from Gleason Lake Drive to 7th Avenue North with the developer to pay half the cost with the other half to be assessed to the abutting properties, which assessment would be deferred until the north section is improved; and WHEREAS, property benefited by such projects will be assessed for all or a portion of the cost of such improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the proposed improvements from Gleason Lake Drive to 7th Avenue be referred to Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and Associates, Inc. for study and that the engineers be instructed to report to the City Council with all convenient speed by advising the Council, in a preliminary way, as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should be best made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and the estimated cost of such an improvement as recommended. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councils he {tur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider. Councilmembers Vasi,li_ou, Ricke-r- Zitur and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
