HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1988-809Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 7th day of November, 1988. The
following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker,
Zitur and Sisk.
The following members were absent: None
Member Zitur introduced a following resolution and move
its adoption:

RESOLUTION NO. gg-sn9
RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE ESTABLISHMENT
OF DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NO. 7 AND
ON THE MODIFICATION OF PLANS FOR
VARIOUS TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICTS
WHEREAS, the City Council by prior action has established Development
District Nos. 1 through 6 pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.124
through 469.134 and has established Tax Increment Financing District Nos. 1-2,
1-2A, 1-3, 1-4, 1-5, 2, 2-1, 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 4-1, 4-2, 4-3, 5-1 and 6-1 within
the six Development Districts pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.174
through 469.179; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes it is necessary and desirable to
establish Development District No. 7; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes it is necessary and desirable to
modify Tax Increment Financing District Nos. 1-2, 1-2A, 1-3, 1-4, 1-5, 2, 2-1,
3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 4-1, 4-2, 4-3, 5-1 and 6-1.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the City Council of the City of
Plymouth, Minnesota as follows:
1. Ehlers and Associates, Inc. and LeFevere, Lefler, Kennedy, O'Brien &
Drawz, P.A. are hereby authorized and directed to prepare a Development
District Program (Program) for Development District No. 7 and modified
Tax Increment Financing plans (Plans) for the above TIF Districts and to
file copies thereof with the city clerk.
2. The city clerk is hereby authorized and directed to submit the Program
and Plans to the school board and county for review and comment and to
notify the same of the time and place of the hearing on the Program to be
held before the City Council.
3. The city clerk is authorized and directed to cause the Program and Plans
to be reviewed by the planning commission on the 23rd of November and to
forward a copy of the planning commission's comments to the city council.
4. The city clerk is authorized and directed to prepare a notice for publi-
cation in the official newspaper setting a public hearing before the City
Council on the Program and Plans on the 19th day of December, 1988, at
7:30 p.m. in the council chambers. The notice shall be published not
more than 30 nor less than 10 days prior to the hearing.
5. The city staff and consultants are authorized and directed to take all
other actions necessary to bring the Program and Plans before the City
Council at the time of the public hearing.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Sisk and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Rif:ker, Zitur
and Sisk
and the following voted against same: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
