HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1988-792CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due gall and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 7th day of Samcmbbgr 198L_ The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The following members were absent: None Councilmember Ricker intro0i►ced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 88-792 DENYING A ZONING ORDINANCE VARIANCE FOR UNITED PROPERTIES DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION FOR SIGNAGE AT TOWNE CENTRE AT PARKERS LAKE (88065) WHEREAS, United Properties Development Corporation has requested a Zoning Ordinance Variance for wall signage of up to 8.27 percent where the Ordinance specifies 5 percent maximum located at the southeast corner of 22nd Avenue North and Vicksburg Lane; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called Public Hearing; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does deny the request for United Properties Development Corporation for a Zoning Ordinance Variance at the southeast corner of 22nd Avenue North and Vicksburg Lane, based on the following reasons: 1. No particular physical condition exists with this parcel resulting in a hardship to the owner as distinguished from an inconvenience if the ordinance regulations are strictly applied. 2. The conditions upon which this petition for Variance is based are not unique to this parcel. 3. The Variance petition is exclusively based on a desire to increase the income potential of the parcel. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, The following voted against or abstained None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
