HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1988-731CITY OF PL"40UTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 17th day of October , 1988. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The following members were absent: None Councilmember Ricker introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 88-731 LEVYING TAXES IN THE AMOUNT OF $8,727,129 WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the operating budgets for the period commencing January 1, 1989 and certain monies to finance said budgets are required to be raised from taxes on taxable property in the City of Plymouth. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the following sums of money be raised by tax on taxable property in the City of Plymouth for the year 1989 as set out in the adopted 1989 City budgets; General Purpose: General Fund $6,063,300 Infrastructure 807,000 Tort Liability 200,000 Forestry 214,000 Total General Purpose $ TZ84,300 Special Levies: City Special Assessment $ 784,114 Housing and Redevelopment Authority 21,900 General Obligation Debt 636,815 Total Special Levies $ 1,442,829 Total All Levies $ 8,727,129 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the said tax levy be certified to the County Finance Director of Hennepin County on or before October 25, 1988. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote beina taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
