HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1988-719CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 17th day of October 1988. The following members were present: , Mayor Schneider, Conncilmembers Vasilinu , R{rtiar, Zitur and Sisk , The following members were absent: None Councilmember Vasiliou its adoption: introduced the following Resolution and moved RESOLUTION NO. 88-719 REQUIRING WAYZATA PUBLIC SCHOOLS INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT 284 TO CONSTRUCT A LEFT -TURN LANE AT FIRST AVENUE ON COUNTY TRUNK HIGHWAY 101 WHEREAS, the Wayzata Public Schools, Independent School District 284, is proposing to construct Gleason Lake School at First Avenue and County Trunk Highway 101; and WHEREAS, increase in vehicular traffic to and from First Avenue requires the construction of a left -turn lane on southbound County Road 101 to First Avenue; and WHEREAS, this safety feature would be beneficial for the motoring public. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: Does hereby conclude that a left -turn lane shall be constructed as a part of the construction of the Gleason Lake School. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Ricker , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider Councilmembers Vasiliou , Ricker Zitur and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
