HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1988-592CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 13th day of September 1988. The following members were present: _ Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou� Ricker, Zitur The following members were absent: Councilmember Sisk Councilmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 88- 592 TRUNK HIGHWAY 55/GOLDENROD LANE IMPROVEMENT CITY PROJECT NO. 704 STATE PROJECT NO. 2723-82 WHEREAS, the City's Consultant, Strgar-Roscoe-Fausch, Inc., has prepared final plans for the improvement of this intersection at State Trunk Highway 55 and Goldenrod Lane; and WHEREAS, these improvements provide a northbound to eastbound right -turn lane with a free -right island and an acceleration lane on Goldenrod Lane approaching State Trunk Highway 55, also designated the left lane approach as a lane for through and left -turn traffic; and WHEREAS, the City request State participation in this project and is prepared to set a tentative letting date. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the City does hereby request the State to participate in the funding of this project. The amount of state participation will be based on MnDOT's policy on cooperative construction projects which includes construction engineering at the rate of eight percent of the State's participating amount. Also, that a tentative letting date for this work be made for April 24, 1989. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Ricker , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: _Mayor Schneider. Councilmembers Vasiliou. Ricker and Zitur , The following voted against or abstained: --None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly gassed and adopted.
