HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1988-564CITY Oi' PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 13th day of September , 1988. The following members were present: , Mayor Schneider. Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker and Zitur , The following members were absent: Councilmember Sisk Councilmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 88- 564 DECLARING ADEQUACY OF PETITION AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT STREET LIGHTING - STEEPLECHASE 5TH ADDITION WHEREAS, a petition has been received from the developer requesting installation of ornamental residential street lighting in the Steeplechase 5th Addition. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. A certain petition requesting the improvement of Steeplechase 5th Addition by the installation of residential ornamental street lighting, filed with the City Council on September 13, 1988, is hereby declared to be signed by the required percentage of owners of property affected thereby. This declaration is made in conformance to Minnesota Statuten Section 429.035. 2. The petition is signed by 100% of the affected property owners and they have waived their rights to public improvement and special assessment hearings. 3. The petition is hereby referred to the City Engineer and he is instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in conjunction with some other improvement and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Ricker , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: M or Schneider. Councilmemhers Vasilinu- Ricker , and Zitur The following voted against or abstained: Nnnr Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
