Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 22nd day of
August 1988. The following were present:
Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou. Ricker, Zitur and Sisk
The following members were absent: None
Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 88- 522
RESOLYrION FOR PUBLIC !FARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMERr
1988 WEM ERADICATION AND DESTRUCTION ROLLS 1 & 2
WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the Council on August 22, 1988 the City
Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed assessment for the total cost for the
1988 Weed Eradication and Destruction, Rolls 1 & 2 on certain lands within the
City as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has
been completed and filed in the office of the City Clerk for public
inspection;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF
PLYMDITrIi, MINNESOTA:
1. A public hearing shall be held on the 3rd day of October, 1988 in
the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth
Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota at 7:30 p.m. to pass upon such
proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning
property affected by such charges will be given an opportunity to be
heard with reference to such assessment.
2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing
on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official
newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing, and shall state
in the notice the total amount of the assessment. The Clerk shall
also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel
described in the assessment roll.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Zitur and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker,
_Zitur and Sisk
The following voted against or abstained: None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
