HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1988-520CITY OF PLYMOUni Pursuant to doe call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 22nd day of August 1988. The following were present: Nayor SchW dpr, C nrilnewhers Vasiliou* Ricker, Zit irnnd Sick The following members were absent: None Councilm Aber Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RE90UNION NO.88- S20 CALLING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT DELINWW WATER, SEWER, AND STREET LIGHTING OR ANNUAL STREET LIGHTING FOR UNIMPROVED PARCELS WHERFAS, by a resolution passed by the Council on August 22, 1988 the City Clark was directed to prepare a proposed assessment for certain charges for the delinquent water, sewer, and street lighting or annual street lighting for unimproved parcels within the City as provided by law; and wt1ER M, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has been ea:pleted and filed in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: A public hearing shall be held on the 3rd day of October, 1988 in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota at 7:30 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assesssent and at such time and place all. persons owning property affected by such charges will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed asst to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing, and shall state in the notice the total amount of the assessment. The Clerk shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by (,ouneilmember Zitur and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. ««« ««« «««
