CITY OF PLVNDUTH
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 18th day of July , 1988.
The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou,
Ricker. Zitur and Sisk
The rollowiny members were absent: None
C_.ouncilmember Ricker introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION 88-426
AWARDING OF BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW FIRE STATION III,
AND REJECTING BIDS FOR THE REMODELING OF FIRE STATION I
PROJECT NO. 615
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the remodeling of Fire Station I and
the construction of new Fire Station III; and
WHEREAS, bids were received June 23, opened and tabulated according to law and the
following bids were received complying with the advertisement:

WHEREAS, the bids for both projects significantly exceeded the construction estimates
for the work; and
WHEREAS, it appears that Terwisscha Construction is the lowest responsible bidder,
complying with the minimum specifications for the construction of Fire Station III.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
I. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to enter into the
attached contract with Terwisscha Construction in the name of the City of
Plymouth for the construction of new Fire Station III, Project No. 615,
according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City
Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of the low
bid of $1,344,000, plus bid alternates 6A in the amount of $12,400 for a
total contract amount of $1,356.400.
2. The bids for Fire Station I are hereby rejected.
3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all
bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the
successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a
contract has been signed.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by

following voted In favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou,
efollowing voted against or abstained: None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
