HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1988-418CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 18th day of Jul , 1988. The following members were present: Mayor Schnei a -F -r uncilmembers Vasillou, Ricker Zitur and Sisk e ollowIng members were absent: None Councilmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 88-418 RESOLUTION FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR THE COST OF CLEANUP OF PUBLIC NUISANCE PROPERTY WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the City Council on June 20, 1988, the City Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed assessment for the total cost for the cleanup of public nuisance on certain lands within the City as provided by law; and WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has been completed and filed in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk had previously scheduled a public hearing on the proposed assessment for July 18, 1988. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The public hearing scheduled for July 18, 1988 is cancelled. 2. A public hearing shall be held on the 15th day of August, 1988 in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota at 7:30 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing, and shall state in the notice the total amount of the assessment. The Clerk shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Sisk , and upon vote being taken thereon, the follow -Ing voted In favor thereof: ayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker Zitur and Sisk 1%—e7o-jLjLowing voted against or abstained: one Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
