Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 27th day of June , 1988.
The following members were present: Mayor Schne end r�ouncilmembers vasillou,
Ricker Zitur and Sisk
The following members were absent: None
Councilmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 88-984
DIRECTING CITY MANAGER TO BEGIN PRELIMINARY
STUDIES ON THE SPACE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE
PLYMOUTH PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Special Assessment Committee, In their report dated June 20, 1988, has
recommended that preliminary work be commenced on the space requirements for the Public
Safety Department; and
*EREAS, the Plymouth City Center concept plans contemplate the expansion of the
Plymouth City Center to provide for an attached or adjacent public safety structure on
the City Center site. .�
WHEREAS, the Special Assessment Committee report sets forth potential funding for this
project which is contemplated for construction in 1992 by the City's Capital
Improvement Program; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED •BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH.,
MINNESOTA that the recommendations of the Special Assessment Committee, in their report
dated 3une 20, 1988, with respect to commencing the preliminary space requirements
study for a public safety facility are hereby accepted.
BE 'IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby directed to initiate the
preliminary studies required to determine the space requirements of the Public Safety
Department through at least the year 2005.

The motion for adoption of the foregoing -Resolution was duly seconded by
Counellmember Sisk , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
