HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1988-368CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 27th day of June, 1988. The following members were present: , ayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou. Ricker. Zitur and Sisk , The following members were absent: _None Councilmember Risk introd,iced the following Resolution and moved its adoption RESOLUTION NO. 88-368 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 1988 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM CITY PROJECT NO'S 517, 72U, 613 AND 904 WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council as follows: 1. City Project No. 517 - Revere Lane/Trenton Place 2nd Addition Resolution No. 87-605, adopted September 21, 1987 2. City Project No. 720 - Fernbrook Woods Addition Resolution No. 87-690, adopted October 19, 1987 3. City Project No. 813 - 22nd Avenue Resolution No. 88-202, adopted March 21, 1988 4. City Project No. 904 - Schmidt Lake Road Resolution No. 80-138, adopted February 25, 1980 The City's Consulting Engineer, Bonestroo, Romans, Anderlik 4 Associates, Inc., has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement bituminous street, concrete curb and gutter and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the combining of the above referenced projects for bidding purpos:ts; and WHEREAS, the Consulting Engineer has presented such plans and specifications to the Council lfor 'their approval; N 1lLr, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE •CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA; 1. Such plans and specificatigns, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. Financing the improvements for City Project No's 517, 720 aild 813 will be from special assessments to be levied on the properties adi,acent to the improvements. We have received waivers of assessment hearing for all these projects. IN Resolution No. 88-368 Page Two 3. Financing for Schmidt Lake Road in the amount of $80,100 is provided from the City's M.S.A. Fund (402-402). 4. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in The Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on the 26th day of July, 1988, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center Building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Manager and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City. Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Z'tur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following Ma voted in.favor thereof: yer Srhneidgr- (nnnt-i1 .-mhorc Va5ijinji , Ricker_ Zitur and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
