HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1988-356CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 20th day of June , 1988. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou Ricker. Zitur and Sisk The following members were absent: None _ ilr9lnlr ,It,lri► tt* _Councilmember Sisk introduced the following P.esolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 88-356 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID DEEP WELL NO. 10 PROJECT NO. 814 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the drilling of Deep Well No. 10 and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: COMPANY TOTAL SID Bergerson-Caswell $ 94,980 E. H. Renner b Sons 107,200 Layne Minnesota Company 110,440 Keys Well Drilling 117,750 Layne -Western Company 122,510 WHEREAS, it appears that Bergerson-Caswell Company is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: I. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the at'-nched contract with Bergerson Caswell Company in the name of the City of Plymouth for the drilling of Deep Well No. 10 according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of the low bid of $94,980. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider. Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
