HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1988-335CITY OF PLVNOUTM Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 6th day of ,lune , 1988. The following members were present: nentX Mayor Sisk, Councilmembers Vasiliou Ricker and Zitur The following members were absent: Mayor Schneider t## iR•# RR4 Cgu member Ricker introduced the following Resolution and moved its a opt on: RESOLUTION 88-335 ADOPTING CITY COUNCIL INSURANCE PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth provides for hospital, medical, surgical and dental Insurance benefits for its regular and permanent part-time employees; and WHEREAS, the City participates In the cost of said insurance benefits in an amount determined periodically by the City Council; and WHEREAS, members of the City Council are considered as "employees" of the City of Plymouth. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that hospital, medical, surgical and dental insurance benefits extended to members of the City Council during their terms of office on the same terms and conditions as are available to other general city employees; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in the event a Councilmember elects to retain private Insurance coverage not otherwise provided through one of the insurance carriers offered by the City, that the City will contribute the same amount toward those premiums as would have otherwise been provided had the Councilmember elected regular city insurance coverage. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that 1986 general fund budget be adjusted to reflect a transfer of $5,940.00 from account 101-190-899.46 to accounts 101-101-826.00 and 101-101-832.00 In the amount of $4,914 and $1,026 respectively. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following vote n favor thereof: Deputy Mayor Sisk, Councilmembers Vasiliou, The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
