Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the nth day of A ri1 , 1988. The
following members were present: Mayor Schne -er — ounclimembers Vasilrou, Ricer
Zitur and Sisk e

Mayor Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 88-248
AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FOR REHABILITATION HOME IMPROVEMENT WORK
WHEREAS, the.City Council has authorized the use of federal Community Block Grant Funds
for a local rehabilitation home improvement grant program; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has established a maximum grant amount of $8,250.00 per grant
per property for any five year period; and,
WHEREAS, work authorized under Housing Rehabilitation Case No. XII -9, had a total cost
of $9,852.00; and,
WHEREAS, the work involved rehabilitation of the total roof system which led to the
discovery of the need for corrective work that was not apparent when the initial esti-
mates were made; and,
WHEREAS, the additional work included provision for the insulation needed to render the
older structure in compliance with current minimum codes;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MIN-
NESOTA, that it should and hereby does authorize payment for the work completed under
Case XII -9 in the amount of $9,852.00 payable from the federal Community Development
Block Grant funds authorized for this program;
FURTHER, the payment in excess of the City Council established maximum is for this case
only and is in recognition of the work which was necessary to meet m? '_Aum code
requirements and in recognition that administrative procedures have been clarified and
Implemented to avoid the additional expenditure of funds in excess of the policy maxi-
mum without prior authorization.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Vasillou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following -
