Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 21st ddN' of March , 19U. The

following members were absent: Councilmember Sisk
Mayor Schneider introduced the following_ Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION Nn. 85-214
ESTABLISHMENT OF HOME IMPROVEMENT GRA14T PROGRAM INCOME LIMITS AND GRANT LIMITS FOR THE
CDBG PROGRAMS, YEAR XIII AND XIV
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth believes that the Home Improvement Grant Program provides
an effective way of rehabilitatinq older dwellings and reducing scarce energy
resources; and;
WHEREAS, Hennepin County and HUD allow each municipality within the Urban County to
set its own income limits, provided thev are no greater than the HUD adopted Section 8
income limits,
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has been usinq the same income and grant limits since
10 1982, i.e. S13,500 annual income limit for a one person household with a $1,000 income
limit per each additional household member and a qrant limit per house of S8,250; and,
WHEREAS, the .City of Plymouth believes that periodic increases in income limits and
maximum grant amounts is appropriate to reflect increases in the cost of living,
building materials and labor; and,
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) recently established
Section 8 income limits for very low income families as follows:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA,
that the maximum home improvement grant be set at $8,250 and that the annual income
limits be as per the recently established HUD annual income limits for very low income
families.
FURTHER, that this resolution take effect the date of its adoption for those applicants
where home improvements have not yet started.

voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the
Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
