HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1988-211CITY OF PLVMUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of 10 the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 21st day of March , 1988. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers as ou, Ricker and Zitur The following members were absent: Counclimember Sisk Councilmember Ricker introduced the following Resolution and moved its a opt on: RESOLUTION NO. 88-211 AUTHORIZING SCHOOL DISTRICT USE OF CITY OPTISCAN VOTING EQUIPMENT WHEREAS, the City has acquired optiscan voting equipment to conduct local, state and federal elections; and WHEREAS, school districts serving Plymouth students have requested the use of such voting equipment for their school board and bond referendum elections; and WHEREAS, in a report dated March 17, 1988, the City staff has recommended a policy through which 0pt13Can voting equipment can be made available to the School District. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that it should, and hereby does, authorize the use of City optiscan voting equipment by the school districts serving Plymouth residents in accordance with the March 17, 1988 City staff memorandum on this subject; and FURTHER, does authorize the City Attorney to prepare a form agreement between the City and School District, setting forth the responsibilities of each respective party for each such usage. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted In favor thereof: ayor, hneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker and Zitur The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
