Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 211t day of
March , 1988. The following members were present:
Mayor Schneider. Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk
The following members were absent: None
ncilmemhor Ricker introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 88- 206
AUTHORIZING RELOCATION CONSULTANT
CITY PROJECT NO. 648
GROVES OFFICE PARK/10TH AVENUE/SOUTHSHORE DRIVE
STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City has received the final plans and specifications for said
project; and
WHEREAS, approved final plans will require the relocation of five mobile homes
and the possibility of two permanent homes; and
WHEREAS, State Statutes require that the City follow the Federal relocation
laws in relocating these families; and
WHEREAS, it is considered a conflict to have the same person who negotiates
the purchase of the easements to also administer relocation assistance; and
WHEREAS, Von Klug and Associates, Inc. were recommended by the City Attorney's
office as being competent in this area; and
WHEREAS, proposals were received from two relocation firms and representatives
from both were interviewed; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended hiring Von Klug and Associates,
Inc..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That Von Klug and Associates, Inc. be retained to
perform those relocation duties necessitated by State and Federal Guidelines.
AND FURTHER, that the total contract amount shall not exceed $14,000 which is
..alculated at $2,000 each for the five mobile homes and, if necessary, $2,000
each for the two homes.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
_Councilmember Sisk , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker,
Zitnr and Sisk
The following voted against or abstained: None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
